Some tips to improve your pronunciation

  • Concentrate intensely on pronunciation while listening
  • Talk aloud to yourself and repeat aloud after a native or recording
  • Do exercises practicing to acquire target language sounds
  • Use phonetic symbols or listen to the pronunciation of the dictionary to learn how to pronounce the new words or when you have doubts about how to pronounce any word .
  • Notice mouth positions or watch lips.
  • Read reference materials about target language rules.
  • Have a sense of humor about mispronunciation
  • Ask someone else to correct your pronunciation or to pronounce something.
